Emily and Chaston were married in the Las Vegas LDS Temple this month. It was more than our pleasure to photograph their wedding day. An honor, actually!
Technically speaking, shooting outdoor pictures in two o’clock Las Vegas sun is no small feat. It can be quite tricky even with the best glass, off camera flashes, umbrellas, etc…
We are so happy to have snapped some great shots despite the harsh sun. Emily and Chaston were very, very patient and such good sports.
Their dads anxiously waited for them at the temple doors. And Emily and Chaston were so beautiful and happy as they emerged.
They are both so blessed by beautifully large extended families who were kind and supportive throughout the experience.
As for the bridal party. Well, they were a blast. The bridesmaids were all my favorite girls from our lovely Las Palmas ward. And the groomsmen were very, very cheeky!
This next picture is especially for the girls featured in it. They know the childhood significance…and I am so happy to be a part of recreating this for them.
There were so many shots of this beautiful couple. I chose my two favorites…which was really hard to do!!!
Check out this bridal shot. I mean, come on! The best part about this all-American girl is that the beauty of her soul far surpasses anything on the outside.
My children benefited from her patience, her kindness, her smartness, and all around goodness for years as she helped tutor them, babysit them, train them, and love them many days after school.
So yeah, I’m a little biased. And while I’m at it, Emily’s parents are simply two of the best people I know. I have been blessed by her mom’s amazingness many times.
She is a true friend. A confidant. A sister. Emily is so lucky to have her as her mother.
The happy couple’s reception was held at Emily’s parents’ home in Las Vegas. It was so beautiful. Wendy hand made all of the signs… Yes, she’s that talented.
Here are a few clicks to showcase the reception.
How adorable are these bridal shoes?!?
No reception would be complete without a couple of first dances…
Okay, a few more shots of Emily and Chaston…’cause I can!
Emily and Chaston got the full send-off treatment from everyone. To their honeymoon they go…
One more thing…this guy, one of our favorites, helped us out since we didn’t have any of our kids on this trip. Josh, Emily’s brother, held light stands, carried equipment, and shot our third camera for us.
He’s grown so much and we loved having him help us out. Now if we can just find a way to steal him from his parents…
The most important part of this day happened inside of these temple walls. I am so privileged to have been in attendance. Shooting the pictures was just icing on an already perfectly sweet cake.
We love you Em and Chas. Just remember, you can come watch our kids anytime!!!
